Answers For Freelancers! is THE ORIGINAL podcast created by freelancers, for freelancers, for the purpose of exploring all things freelance.

It is also no longer in production. 🙂

What You’ll Find Here

The episodes you will find curated here are those we felt offered timeless ideas, insights and advice.

Folks such as Pia SjolinMichael GerberBill KenneyMitch Joel, to name a few, have shared their experiences, both good and bad, and the knowledge passed to us in these episodes transcends trends, tools, sites and apps. After again listening to these episodes in 2013, we find this continues to be so. You may find that some of the information in these shows is a bit dated, and you should feel free to ignore any and all references to MySpace, Friendster, MyChingo and any other now-defunct websites or tools that used to be relevant but no longer are. Or, better yet, consider adapting the advice to your current tool set. However, the advice and insight from many of the great personalities that have selflessly allowed themselves to be interviewed remains beneficial to us today.

Where We Are Now

While this show eventually morphed into our next endeavor, Creative Independence, what we learned about podcasting through trial and error and the incredibly warm relationships that we made with our listeners via social networking outlets such as Twitter and Linked In, carried over with us and continue today.

Why This Site Remains

When we first launched our small podcast aimed at discussing the excitement, the splender, and the foibles of living and working as freelance artists back in 2006, we had no idea that people would take to it so wholeheartedly. We wondered if we’d be speaking into the dark, empty expanses of the internet, or if people would actually listen. Boy, were we surprised.

Even now, years after the final episode aired in 2008, our archived episodes continue to be downloaded by folks from all over the world.

Please, enjoy these episodes in the spirit in which they were created; as our way of paying forward those gifts that were given to us as we also forged our paths upon our own freelance journeys.

  • Stories from Donutville
